Epic's Future Earns #1 Album Honors Days Before The Grammys

A1/Freebandz/Epic’s Future has topped the HITS Album Sales Chart with 108k for EVOL. On the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart, he also rules with 139k.

Having a #1 album going into The Grammys is especially impressive considering the lack of a traditional rollout. The set, which dropped by surprise last week, marks Future’s fourth studio album in five years. During that time, though, there have been singles and myriad mixtapes—notably his collaborative set withDrake (What a Time to be Alive), which also dropped without warning only to land at #1 and spawned the multi-format radio smash “Jumpman.” Word has it that label honcho L.A. 160-170k as usual, but that was with streams. 120-130 without.
Was it only a Samsung deal or could you download it on Tidal for free as well? Or was the Tidal download the Samsung deal.

She basically did par for her course. Rihanna never does large first week. Her highest ever was in 2012 when she did 238k. And all her albums still go 3x+platinum(worldwide). You won't be able to tell until after a year.
