Decided to put it on for like the 5th time about couple days ago and it finally fully clicked on me:ahh:

This always was my least favorite of Common's 3 classics but I can't believe I ever thought that (this >> Resurrection).

This album is very consistent as most of the songs on here are a 9+/10. There are plenty of perfect tracks on here as well such as The Light, The 6th Sense or even The Questions (underrated song).

Perfect production by the 2nd GOAT producer J Dilla and perfect lyrics by Common as well:blessed:

Top 15 hip hop album of all time, top 3 of the 2000's and AOTY for 2000 (sorry Ghost):blessed:

Oh yeah Soulquarians one of the GOAT collectives too:blessed:

Great album :obama:

Might have been the closest we ever got to a Soulquarians group project:mjcry:

I always wish we got a Soulquarians group project:mjcry:

Common and Black Thought are two of the best to ever do it and Mos Def is up there too

J Dilla is a GOAT producer and I gotta give credit to James Poyser

Bilal, Erykah Badu and D'Angelo on vocals

All that in one album:blessed::mjcry:

It's Common's best album imo.

This was the project that initially got me into Common's music. The first Common songs I heard were all from this album (6th Sense, The Light, Thelonius, Nag Champa, etc.) and I loved them all on first listen. Excellent project.

You've finally seen The Light brother...must have been a 6th Sense or something
:troll:

Yeah this hit me one day out the blue and I was in the same position as you. Probably my favourite Common album now.

But above Supreme Clientele?!

Yeah this album is Heat:lolbron:

As for my favorite Common album I still got Be slightly ahead of it, but love both to death

And yeah I'd put it VERY slightly over Supreme Clientele. Only problem is is I don't like to sit through some of the skits and I'm not a big fan of Stroke of Death but who knows I maybe need a relisten:yeshrug:

Both GOAT albums though and two of my favorites of all time
