Your assertion that Memphis would win a given series is an opinion. Memphis often getting bailed out down the stretch is an observable fact.

Just looking at the one play in question, Green was out of control, traveled, threw up a brick and instead they called a foul when there was no more contact than there had been on every other play of the game, in which the officials up to that point were "letting them play", as evidenced by only 11 fouls called on Memphis when they purposely bump and hack on nearly every defensive possession. I didnt point this out, it was another poster.

Its the same story every time it goes down to the wire w/ the Grizzlies. Phoenix has outplayed them in 4 of the last 6 matchups and questionable officiating was the difference, each time in favor of Memphis. This is all already filed and understood.

Every aspect that can contribute to a bright future is there for Phoenix. They are on the come up. Dallas and Memphis will be lottery teams again before Phoenix.

We can play any pace of Basketball. We aren't Golden State. We simply don't match-up well personnel wise with Memphis.

Lol at focusing on a single play to ignore a clear trend across several games and all season. Last game Suns were the aggressors, took fewer jumpshots, were plus double digits points in the paint...and shot 18 less free throws.

A fairly called game isn't even close.

Memphis is bigger at every position but PG. They replaced unathletic Prince with a talented Green. This ain't the same team we bearly beat in Atlanta. Z-Bo instead of Stokes and adding Green in place of Prince makes a massive difference. We need more TALENTED size v. Memphis. We can't do that two PF shyt v. Memphis. They get too physical with our PF's.

They match up good against us but can they beat us in seven games? I'd take us in a series because at the pace they play the games will always be close. If it just takes one of our players making one more play than one of their players than I'd take us. We have more depth and atleast equal them in talent. A lot depends on who would have homecourt



Speaking of Memphis, how do people take them as series title contender over us? What makes them so much better than the Hawks that they can be taken seriously but not the Hawks? People were still saying we were pretenders before the GS win.

Hawks aren't built for these ugly grit and grind games. They want to be up tempo and spacing you out with the ball.

I disagree. We can play any style of basketball you want. Memphis just out executed us down the stretch but this was a tie game with 2 mins left. Didn't help that Al & Sap went a combined 4 of 21 from the field. Our team is built to be interchangeable and to adjust to different styles so no we don't play like MEM but to say we aren't built to play these games is a flat out lie. We want to be balanced in the half court for our shooters, were not trying to be up tempo (ie. Golden State)

PFs that shoot well don't shoot well when they have to deal with Zbo on the other end.
