I know what you’re doing op lol. But I’ll bite anyway.
meh. 10m at 20 makes sense only if you have educated people around u who have ur best interest at heart. Cause you’re still a child at 20. And it’ll be easy for devious people to convince u to do things that aren’t in ur best interest.
at 40. You’ve dated a lot. You’ve seen how the world is and how people are. U are more likely to keep ur millions and even multiply it.
Only downside is, at 40, you’ll be playing catch up on things u coulda did in ur twenties. But I guess that’s a small price to pay given the wisdom you would have gained instead.
You hit on basically what I was getting at, but it's truly not an easy decision...
On one hand if I take the 10 mil at 20 I have more time to enjoy it. The possibility of being financially free for the the next 50 years of my life a real possibility. But like you said I am also more apt to splurge and do something or somethings stupid with the money.
The flip to that is...
At 40 I've put my body through the grind and I've missed 20 years of doing whatever the fukk I want, when I want. I can't get that time back. But as you said, by that age I have more wisdom and would probably make the financial decision to never have to work another day in my life and possibly grow it. But I could have a heart attack at 50 and what did that 30 million mean?
It's really not as easy of a choice as you would think IMO
