Read the article Sports Illustrated did about them (and Glenn Robinson and his son) a couple of months ago, it was very interesting.

It was basically saying how Tim Sr. had to stop going to his son's games in high school and shyt because he was basically pushing his son WAY too hard, to the point where his son didn't even want to be around him or have him at the games. Tim Sr. was apparently just so over competitive to the point he would hate to lose pickup games and he couldn't accept that his son wasn't the same way.

nobody was concerned abut that stuff back then. Dudes weren't that sensitive.

Nobody was fighting over Mutombo wagging his finger in their face, or getting yelled at after a dunk.

It's only this new era of sportsmanship that has a problem with it.

I cant put my finger on it, but there is some sort of inflated masculinity thats on overdrive right now, and its hidden by sensitivity instead of the other way around.

Butt hurt at the drop of a dime, and sort of disrespect in any fashion deserves a violent reaction, all to keep up appearences and hide how much you care what other people think.

When I grew up talking shyt was only escalated to violence when there was two groups of dudes who hated each other anyways, or when someone let it build up for ever and then exploded lol.
