I get what you're saying, but that child would need your presence as much as your money.I'd have too, just for my sanity and mental health, and because of the woman. I'm basically rewarding her for what she did if I stay.
It sounds selfish, but please don't do that. You have to put yourself first.
I'm not saying I'd completely cut myself out of the child's life (I'd still financially be there), but I don't think I'd be able to be with that child consistently.
