It gets to us as fans because we invest in the show. And if its successful it probably went 6+ seasons. So that's literally years you've spent watching that show so when it's over it's like
....
For me personally I was
when 30 Rock and Parks and Rec ended. It took me literally months to finish the finale for Parks and Rec

Yeah, I hate the fukk out of that feeling. I felt that way for Rome, The Wire and Angel. It's the worst when it's a show that gets canceled.

Angel pretty much went out like the Sopranos. The heroes finally pull up on the main villains that stayed hidden for most of the show, some of the heroes get bodied on the way, one walks away from the fight and the rest just have a last stand against an army of demonic mooks. Credits roll. b*stards canceled the show on a fukking cliffhanger.

Pushing daisies also gave me that feeling. Canceled after the writers strike and ended with some half ass bullshyt
