I'm perfectly comfortable being by myself from time to time. But I would like to create a solid circle to friends that has nothing to do with my ex.
My friends of my previous circle all took her side(she made the story sound like she was the victim even though we both knew I was the one being mistreated and used the whole time) in our falling out and threw me to the bushes. And I've known these guys MUCH longer than they knew her.
