I think people who still get TV time and merch are cool with being a midcarder because it's their "boyhood dream." So Finn will probably be in the E until he runs out of gas or they fire him.

He is overhyped. He can have a good match, but he usually is pretty boring and uses a limited moveset. He is not on AJ's level as a performer, but he is usually pretty over despite spinning his wheels his entire WWE career, so I agree they should do SOMETHING with him. I don't think he'll be leaving regardless. His lane is upper midcard and he's probably content with that for the money they are paying.

I think him getting injured and having to drop the Universal title permanently damaged his stock in the company.
