capital leases and deferred taxes can get fairly complicated. Consolidation accounting can be tricky at times (downstream depreciable asset transfers, etc.).


The great thing is: Finding a job after graduation isn't too bad.

I went though an Accelerate 8 month 45 quarter unit weekend program. Most of my classmates already landed jobs as auditors. Many already got into the Big four.

I'm interviewing currently for next fall and January. I didn't have this much success with my BA and MA. Accounting is a good field.

Maintain a GPA above 3.5 and you're good to go really. 55k out of school, and about 100K when jump into industry as CPA with busy season experience. Good luck!

Second Acct class at LSU...and LSU likes to make shyt hard for no reason..

Never bother with accounting or finance lectures unless it involves clues for upcoming tests. Using the textbook itself is the way to go.

Accountants can jump into what I-Bankers, Traders, Portfolio Managers and Research analysts etc. do...but they cant do what accountants do

You can pretty much get most finance jobs with an accounting degree. You cant get most accounting jobs with a finance degree though. But if you are sure you want to stick to a career in finance then get the degree in that area.
