ross been trash his entire career.

didnt say much the first 2 seasons cause he showed flashes and he was still new to the league but in his 3rd season, almost 24.....still the same player.

He gets played,he starts every game,some matchups are not good for him IE Golden State...and when he fouls or isnt playing D he geta benched,i dont get what the problem is with that...He cant play more than 30 + mins right now anyway,hes shown his body cant handle it...If he were to show Casey he can play 30-35 mins without fading or costing this team inside he would...

I dont like much about Caseys subbing but im in total agreeance how he plays Val...Stats dont lie breh,hes not a great defender,the teams numbers defensively are alot worse with him on the floor...and the eye test usually shows that...

Lettuce talkabout his offense,maybe i got my hopes cuz i heard he was working out with hakeem.
I dont see much progression offensively,he still uses the same 2 moves...That sweeping right hook which works sometimes and that spin baseline jumper...Nothing else,no counters,no drop steps...He put one counter move on Cousins in the pre season and its been locked away in a safe since...

I remember hearing all this hype about his mid range but i aint seen it,havent seen him make a single one and he dont even attempt them when they offered...

I would honestly lay off him if either side of the ball had some development and was consistent but both his offense and defense is so wildly inconsistent night to night you just dont know what your getting...

Whats really improved over last season ? His numbers are about the same,same problems defensively,same type mistakes and same bad habits (pump fakes)

I thought he'd be ahead of where he is,i thought there was gonna be another step from last season...

yeah but dude NEVER gets in a rhythm offensively. His guards just chuck and chuck, never run the pick and roll with him. Dude gets gassed cuz we push the ball for no reason and hoist up bricks.

I dont think hes a good PnR big...I wouldnt be using him like that...
You can feed him in the post to change the looks but i think outside of that hes only good in transition/fast break...

Hes very uncoordinated in space which is why he loses the ball and gets stripped alot...Just keep him close to the basket and allow him to use his size...

My point is hes not a go to player that should demand the ball,were guard heavy cuz are best two players are guards,simple as that...He gets his 25 mins and he doesnt do enough to warrant getting the ball more or he'd be getting it.

Were trying to win games right now and our best option is not force feeding him so he can get in a rhythym..He just isnt consistent enough offensively to give him the ball more than he gets...

i had pretty high hopes for val at first and i've been lowering them as the years have passed. i've always reluctantly wanted to keep him...but at the same time thinking he'd be really good trade bait for us but i've had enough of the waiting for him to make that next step. he should be up for grabs, shyt, most players on this team should be. yeah yeah yeah, i know we have success and chemistry and depth and all that...and the raps are better than they've ever been, really...but ultimately, this squad is false hope. it looks good now but it fails in the playoffs.

i still think we're a treadmill team, just like the colangelo era. the difference is, instead of being just shytty enough to miss the 8th seed, we're gonna be fighting for home-court in the playoffs. obviously its a step in the right direction, and yeah, i get that people are celebrating considering how dismal we've been for so long but...we're not THAT good. and if we're going with lowry-derozan-val + role players...we're never gonna be THAT good.
