I'm sry as a diehard chiefs fan I can't sit in silence anymore. Rarely do we as sports fans get a chance to see in real time players that are on another level of greatness, Ex. (Lebron, messi, prime AP). It's without question that Mahomes is of that ilk, but I fear that slowly and slowly this cancer known as Matt Nagy is infecting Mahomes' aura, confidence and everything that made him special. For ex.

Mahomes best years (All under offensive cordinator Eric Bienemy)
2021 - 4839 passing yards
2020 - 4,740 passing yards
2022 - 5,250 passing yards (most in the league).

Nagy era
2023 - 4,183 passing yards
2024 - 3,928 passing yards

Mahomes dropped 1,000 yards in one year under the coaching of this parasite and has never recovered. Its obvious that KC's elite defense (Spags) has been carrying this team for the pass couple years now, but it's to the point we're this malignant tumor is rotting the Chief's moral from the inside out. Bienemy had his flaws but he's Belichek compared to this tapeworm Nagy. If there is a god, Pleeeeeese do to right thing for Chiefs nation and, Pat's legacy.
Nagy needs to thank the Ravens for choking that AFC championship game/Mahomes puttng on the cape that 1st half.

And then Mahomes going beast mode the 2nd half/OT in the Super Bowl.

Cause you could tell that year that offense had no business winning a Super Bowl. Mahomes just willed it.

Turns out they miss Eric in the offensive room.
It at least needs to be for re-hiring Nagy and continuing to keep him in the same role on the staff. It's been clear that they need some new voices in the room offensively for a couple of years now, but they seem content to keep things the way they are.
Low key this Nagy shyt is taking some shine off Mahomes. Like you know he's still great and dont want to see him in the clutch. However, these are prime years and he likely wont even make the Pro Bowl these last couple of years. Thats whatever when you getting to the Super Bowl. However part of Mahomes GOAT challenger status was that he was a monster regular season player as well.

I don't understand why this offense looks different week to week. And not just "well different defenses...etc".

Like some weeks the Chiefs are doing jet sweeps, reverses, screens, etc...then some weeks that stuff disappears. And they look vanilla as fukk. And for the love of god please remove any and all WR bubble screens and quick screens from the playbook. At most you get 7 yards and a clouds of flags for holding.

Wait is Matt Nagy calling the plays or is he an Andy Reid merchant the way some people said Eric Bienemy was?

Also the Chiefs are having a down year and they are still in the mix for a Wildcard.

This may be a dumb question, but if Reid calls the plays and it’s his offense, what exactly does the Chiefs OC do?

He'd be involved in the construction of overall gameplan on that side of the ball, adjustments, etc.

Anyway, the Chiefs' biggest problem is that they aren't getting with the times. On sheer numbers alone, KC is one of the 10-12 best offenses in the league.

However, it has become increasingly apparent that the actual top-level offenses in the game either have a bell-cow running back or, at the very least, make a concerted effort to establish the running game. KC doesn't do that. You can do a lot off the back of a rushing attack that defenses have to at least respect the threat of. Even if it isn't elite.
