You do know there are Native Americans that are a dark brown? I do think the woman in the OP is doing it out of self-hate but the Cherokee nation basically forced mixed breeds to live culturally as Black people and thus stripped them of their Native American culture. A few generations later and you have Black people with significant Native American ancestry but no attachment to the culture. I would know as a person with said heritage.
