I really do think having a billion people speaking English is some kinda cheat code. They gotta be at least half the anglophone world.


Off pure numbers, I’m surprised they don’t dominate everything in the English world. If just 2% of every country’s distribution is a genius at ABC-task then they should be fielding 24million people in every category of activity between us in the US , and Canada, and the UK. That number is nearly half the population of both Canada and the UK.



I almost wish countries had something equivalent to bussiness “trust busting” where if a nation gets too big, that thing gets sliced into smaller segments
