IDK what kinda cars you've come in contact with breh, but JDM don't break.

Im actually a mechanic breh, JDMs wear out just like everything else..We just junked a customers 2003 accord a few days ago because i couldnt find a replacement transmission for them for less than $3000 add shipping and my labor the job would easily have gone over $5000..she said no way and now shes shopping for something else.

For comparison Im replacing a 3.2 V6 chrysler engine for a dodge intrepid the engine cost only $600 delivered to my door in 4 hours with one phone call. The chrysler owner will be driving again by friday .

:umad:

Dont take it personal Im not saying honda is a bad car...im saying its less than ideal as a FIRST car.

First cars are like first girlfriends ..it should be someting simple and domestic then when you have experience you can branch out into imported supermodels

Yeah, not all Japanese cars are super reliable.

Honda automatics are complete pieces of shyt.

The 1st gen Focus is a good used buy in manual form. Maybe an older Taurus or W-Body(Impala, Gran Prix, Regal, etc.).

:leon: Interesting.

I guess that's why I never see any Honda Accord taxicabs.....

I always see other mid-size cars like the Camry's, Impalas, Crown Vic's, Tauruses, etc. but never any Accords....

:ehh:

Where the hell were you looking breh? The 7th gen accord (03-05) auto trannys are shyt. I work at a pep Boys and we get customers coming in all the time because the dealers want like 4-6k to fix and we'll do it for like 1-2k I don't know the specifics but we always find transmissions, theres some company we source them from, or if we're desperate the junkyard will do. If its a 4 cylinder Accord, the 04-06 TSX tranny is a direct swap.
