I remember watching this and just laughing at the fact they held this show in a fukking shopping mall, it really made them look minor league, but it was great to have another weekly wrestling show on TV and Luger's debut was a big surprise and was the first shot fired in the Monday Night Wars.

Like I said in my post the fact that they were holding the show inside of a fukking shopping mall is what made me think they looked minor league, your comment about tv ratings had nothing to do with my post, I'm commenting strictly from how it looked on TV, I didn't know or care about ratings back then.

WCW had the GOAT oblivious announcer team. It was hilarious listening to them play stupid like they were hosting a nick jr show.

Yeah, I remember they used to have the Road Wild PPV at some biker rally or some shyt.

To me, holding a wrestling show in a shopping mall is basically one step up from holding it at some state fair with tractor pulls in the background, I didn't think it was a good look especially for a debuting show like Nitro but it didn't hurt them, and yeah, If you're gonna have a show at the mall you might as well have it at the Mall of America, at least they had some standards.

right, I was at that Nitro, the Mall of America Rotunda is NOT a small place, especially not small like it appeared on TV .. you can easily have a concert/event right there.
