Have any of you tried this sandwich? I have no interest in it. I know so many better chicken places that would kill this sandwich.
That’s why at this point i don’t believe people are acting like this because the sandwich is that good, it’s really looking like people are acting a fool just to say they tried the popeye sandwich.
It’s extremely embarrassing and mind boggling to hear stories of people doing this over a got damn sandwich.

Ayo true story...

I went to Popeye's today just off GP, not knowing the Sammich was back in effect...
It was so packed that cars was parking in the lot of the restaurant next door,
and folks in the drive-thru had to leave gaps to let parked cars leave. I walked in
that bizzotch and said "What is the meaning of this? Are y'all selling crack now?"

Cuzz in line said "sandwiches back, doe."

It was like 7 folks waiting for their order when I got in, and I left before all of them
with my regulation chicken.

When I was coming out to get back in my chariot, this (white, btw) couple in the drive-thru rolled
down their window and asked "Aye boss - did you get a sandwich?"

Me: "Naw, I didn't need it that bad - errbody in thurr is waiting for 'em doe..."

Them: "...but they do have 'em?"

Me: "Yep...for now"

Them: "Aight then..."


When I left, the drive-thru line stretched out into the street. Wild.

I passed by Popeyes twice today...saw that line I noted that that chicken sandwich wasn’t for me. I’ll never try it at this rate.

Anyways, people are crazy. Two lives lost over a chicken. Maybe the place is just a coincidence though.
