First fatality over Popeye's Chicken Sandwich

A dude I know gave us that clutch tip and told us the Popeyes in the mall must be using that Chick fil A team because they pumping out sandwiches at a crazy rate. He was right that shyt was like a 5 min wait max, well worth the extra drive.

Everything was good until my homeboy ordered popcorn shrimp like a dikkhead.



He fukked up the entire flow ordering some shyt that nobody ever gets at Popeyes.

That entire place and drive thru was filled with white people. This damn sandwich is popular not just for us black people

I remember that shyt. But I think this one is different. The sandwich back in the day had lettuce and tomato on it and it didn’t have this sauce on it.

No it was the same one, it just had the sauce, pickles, and meat on the same bun. they have had a few variations over the years but this one definitely existed. I'm surprised the quality hasn't gone down since Burger King owns PP's now.

Have any of you tried this sandwich? I have no interest in it. I know so many better chicken places that would kill this sandwich.
That’s why at this point i don’t believe people are acting like this because the sandwich is that good, it’s really looking like people are acting a fool just to say they tried the popeye sandwich.
It’s extremely embarrassing and mind boggling to hear stories of people doing this over a got damn sandwich.

The spicy is good but not worth dying for, nor standing in line for hours. Its ALL marketing and hype, this exact same sandwich was on Popeyes menu 2-3 years ago and they took it off because it didn't sell as well as they wanted it to.

I know because I ate one back then and was really impressed and when I went next time for the sandwich the manager said no one was buying them and said it might come back as seasonal item for summers. The recipe didn't change since then.
