Popovich. How many coaches could sit out their 3 best players and not only be competitive but win games as well

Bulls:

PG: Kirk Hinrich/Nate Robinson
SG: Richard Hamilton/Marcus Belinelli
SF: Luol Deng/Jimmy Butler
PF: Carlos Boozer/Taj Gibson/Vladimir Radmanovic
C: Joakim Noah/Nazr Mohammed

I got Thibs, if only slightly. I've been in disbelief at how the Bulls been top 4 for the majority of the season.

Pop. Thibbs? Nah. They're a 5th seed right now and it's not like they have garbage talent without Rose. Mark Jackson deserves it more than him.

Gotta be Pop. This dude, man. Every year we say "well, that was the Spurs last run, they're done. Fun while it lasted." and these fukks are always in the thick of things the next year. The discipline and consistency he gets his teams to play with night in and night out should be admired by any basketball fan. People say they're boring, but as a fan of the sport, that shyt is a pleasure to watch.

Mark Jackson and Thibs have both done great jobs, as well.

Obviously Pop. fukk outta here with Thibbs. They're a 5th seed right now and it's not like they have garbage talent without Rose. Mark Jackson deserves it more than him.

:stopitslime:

Completely new backcourt rotation (which is some shyt), re-tooled bench, Boozer, Nazr as the backup C etc etc. Don't be acting like Thibs ain't in the conversation.

If the Bulls had Rose (for the same amount of games, Spurs had Parker) - they'd be little difference between both their records. And even then the Spurs would still have the more talented and deeper team.

True. But they're only 30-22 and a 5th seed in the east right now. I think he's overachieving with them, but he's still bringing back a veteran core of Noah, Boozer, and Deng. They don't have superstar talent by any means, but they're solid. I can't put him up there with Pop, or with Mark Jackson, who has turned around a lottery team and has them about to make the playoffs.
