Those books had us kids all scared when we would do outdoor camp outs in tents and read them during the middle of the night.

Hopefully you can find the original ones. They came out with a re rerelease in 2011 with a different illustrator because they say the o.g was too scary.

Breh.. I convinced my 1st grade teacher to read these to us on the reading rug if we were good. Showing 6 year olds these multilated graphic illustrations of severed hands and girls with their cheeks exploding from implanted spider sacks

By 4th grade when Goosebumps were in full force, teachers in our school were banned from reading them because some bytch ass classmates were having nightmares. Me and the rest of Ms Bradley’s 1992 1st grade alumni had built up a thicker skin somehow
