That was her argument tho. Everything you just said is what a father is supposed to do. And people keep giving him passes for saying dumb offensive things because

That was her point.

What's he saying that is so offensive? He's being grandiose, but he has said nothing that most parents don't think about their kids behind closed doors.

Now, whether they are true or not is another thing. But the fact that he dares to be anything but a grateful knee-grow is what has her and people like her pissed off. Because "he should just be grateful" that his son is where he is at and take whatever the NBA, Nike, Adidas or Under Armour give him.
