Lebron is working the long hustle. This pay cut, once you add in the coming home money on the back end just off the narrative, and if he wins a ship? Lol, he gonna be printing money, and he is gonna get some ownership stake, when it said and done, it will be like jay talking about "baby money" but Bron talking bout "Jordan money".

Thats fine. I hope he hits a billion.

Doesnt change the fact that He took a paycut because he didnt think he could win a ring without doing so

Now that hes got a few rings hes telling others take every dollar on the table?

Praise a washed up has been for taking money that's gonna help send the franchise in the lottery for the foreseeable future brehs

By all means, LEAVE if you don't want to be a part of the team. Do not let the door hit you on the way out.

In my opinion we let him go...let's not be the Lakers or one of the many organizations that held on to long....make a decent declining veteran salary offer if he leaves oh well we can get a consistent replacement for cheaper.....this team has the chance to do some big things with this roster and it frees up money we can offer to Whiteside when time permits......I would take a consistent sg over wades 1-3 nights 30 points......where is he going with a better roster when healthy

Time to start rebuilding and move on without D Wade. If Kevin Durant is available go get him.

Wade, don't let the door hit you on your back side. Thanks for the memories , you are done.

Have to agree with the majority,
Time for Mr.Part Time to either come off the bench for way less or leave.
If he ops in maybe the Heat can trade him to a place he'd be happy.

These reporters must be from New York or Cleveland. Google nba over 36 rule. Wade has zero leverage. Teams will get killed in the cap if they sign him before 36. Heat and wade both know the best option is to stay together

I'm a huge D-Wade fan and I'm very appreciative of past triumphs. Being a former athlete I know how cruel the accumulation of injuries is but there's no going around it. This is a business and the Heat needs to invest in expectations going forward. If D-Wade decides to go to greener pastures I wish him the best and will cheer for him. But I'm afraid his probable contributions in the future don't warrant the Heat to pay a crippling amount of money and thereby reducing the quality of the rest of the cast. I see him more as a role player in a great team but no longer the franchise go-to guy. It is what it is.

Not sure Wade has enough left in the tank to compete 3 more years in the NBA. Looking to get paid on past accomplishments. Nothing wrong with that but buyer beware!

what a pickle. ima call it right down the middle,
    1. dwade may be delusional about what he has left in the tank. his legacy is what's at stake. burning bridges in miami is no good. he's labored to finish a season the past 2.3 years, and didn't get one all star vote. maybe 2 idk.
    2. the heat don't want a kobe situation. NOOOOooope.
    3. chris bosh's deal is way too much. waaaaay too much, thank lebron for that Stuff.
    4. the heat need to rebuild this entire team all the way down from scratch. coaching too.
solution, restructure bosh's contract or send out trade feelers. for wade, 2 years, 17 mil a season, his jersey goes up in the rafters next to Zo when he's done & he glides into the HOF no questions asked.

and this is why as a black athlete you should never take a paycut or "take less to help the team." these cacs will turn on you in a second. get ya money no matter what. fukk loyalty.

Wade my dawg but if he pressed on getting paid and being about the business he shouldn't have talked his friend into coming down to South Beach. From an individual career standpoint everything for him went downhill after 2011 and he decided to let LeBron run the show. How quickly we forget the narrative was he left to go play on Wade's team, and that Wade was the batman he was the robin. He conceded all of that and it was his choice.

But im sure the front office will get it worked out so I dont see this is a big deal right now.
it'll get worked out, but of course Lebron doesn't want people taking pay cuts. if they do they have a better chance at beating him :heh:

We're not going to have signicant cap space to really be anything other than a treadmill team, pay him and keep it moving.

wade was trying to grow and max his brand outside of ball and has declined over the last two years so they didn't turn on him overnight. he needed to be in the limelight for that chinese shoe deal and his various product endorsements(that GQ cover years back went to his head), thus he tried to ride the coattails of that fella that's returning to the finals again this year. fans that support the team with ticket sales and team store items have an legitimate gripe when wanting to see a winning team assembled.

:banderas: Look at all that loyalty from the Heat Lifers.

loyalty is when a player takes care of is weight and diet in the off-season and is working out improving his game instead of flying off to fashion shows in europe with his stylist.

true loyalty to the game....summer workouts a couple of yrs ago.

Wade is right, dude sacrificed his own money and brought Lebron and Bosh along to deliver 2 championships and 4 great seasons. He brings them the most revenue and deserves that money. Heat should be loyal like the Lakers and pay that man big time for his last contract
The Heat are trying to remain in championship contention, that is the difference between them and the Lakers. If Lakers ain't pay Kobe nikkas still would've been trash, they could've just afforded to stockpile more trash

Maybe cause LeBron makes more money than Kobe anyway yet has been in contention for every title in the past 5 years and will likely be in contention for every title in the next 5 years
