My rent in 2004 was $249 per month in Nubia Square (3rd ward) I have no clue how I made it out alive and never got robbed

There was/is a police sun station on the lot, I think it might even be a halfway house for people fresh out. Ngas was walking around at 2am on Tuesday looking for nothing but trouble. I kept my head down though and drove a basic car that wasn’t flashy so I guess I blended in well enough to make it by. Those years sharpened me though and I can legit say I lived in the poorest part of the hood amongst the people for a time.

Prolly one of them hood spots that tried to mark up the rent like everybody else and lost tenants the past year. U gon see A LOT of “deals” come tax time. A lot of ppl over played they hand with marking up the rent n shyt.
