I just wanna know who engineered the best to make it sound so amplified and BIG on Jada’s version…because Ras’ version has no thump to it.

Was Ras’ version unfinished on the production end?
Either it was unfinished or it was tweaked for the better for Jada and Styles. Instrumentals exist for both versions and Home Sweet Home doesn't come close.

Heard this story over and over when it happened and Ras has always stuck to the same story. Al said that the payment didn’t go through. I always believed Ras and look at Al for being shady. Bottom line is he gave that beat to Ras first and then Since Jada wanted it as was more popular he gave it to him. Al was not a household name at that time. He was trying to breakthrough to next level.

Based on Al’s story, he knew the beat was too dope to be just an underground song, which is why he specifically went to Nas & Jay.

The beat is undeniable, not sure why they passed, but it happens.

His white ass probably said fukk it and gave it to Jadakiss. Instead of owning up to doing bad business, he’ll never admit to it.

I would have given that best to a much better rapper like Kiss also. Rass Kass had no business using that beat. His song was ass. How the hell you make a beat that classic sound so ordinary. Kudos to Alchemist for giving that beat to Jadakiss.

This situation back then was the first time I really understood how much the mc brings life to a song no matter how dope the beat is and I was a huge Ras Kass fan at that time. Jada and Styles really made that the classic is it today.

facts. I got into dancehall early and listening to how diff artists approached the riddim gave me a great understanding of the difference between MAKING IT A HIT

Al was young and hungry and he did the type of shyt people do when they coming up. I don't hold it against him because he didn't make a habit of it.

to be fair to him he is responding to the fact that Al is still talking about it in public.

most recently has been coming up as a question again because of the Jada performance at verzuz
I get it but the interviewer is the one who asked Al about that shyt in the first place. He responded and like clockwork here come Ras again responding to a response about this shyt yet again. Not going at you but more for Ras.. It's over man if your career that hung up over this track and you haven't done anything of relevance since then maybe the issue is you.
