:ehh: Beat was okay, lyrical content was okay, then you get to the end :pachaha:..

This is what you guys call :genius:?

This is innovative "hip-hop"?

Geez now wonder the genre outside of hate/racism gets little respect. :flabbynsick:

Nothing about that was avant-garde or "new" or revolutionary. I actually respect West for the MBDF(i'm sure I missed a letter in that abbreviation) even though it was overproduced.

Kanye West being seen as a "revolutionary" or ground-breaking artist with this non-sense proves the point that hip-hop has a long way to go when it comes being compared and respected with other art-forms. The fact that "hip hop geniuses" hardly play any instruments is :snoop:

:ld: man I was hoping he was "back" with the way y'all were hyping this

at this rate he'll never be able to touch CD/LR ever again

this still touches on the same theme as records like "All falls down" it's just not with that cd/lr production

he's reinvented his sound time after time while retaining essentially the same content

:rudy:

Learning Computer programming and various production software >>>> Learning how to Play a instrument.

And this is coming from a nikka who does both :usure:

:patrice:

You should be able to do both before you are dubbed a musical "genius" especially when the quality of work isn't as good as the personality behind the work.

In 2013, knowing how to blow a tuba aint gonna help you produce multi platinum hits b :pachaha:

All that instrument playing ish in music production is overrated. We aint in the 90s no more. If you got the technology to push boundaries n make things faster and easier. Use it :manny:

:heh: hip hop has been using it since it's beginning to substitute the complete lack of musicianship. It's also one of the reasons why hip-hop tours horribly.

No one wants to see a :flabbynsick: dude huff and puff profanity for 2 hours. I guarantee if the Roots actually made good music they would be on par with Rock acts as far as touring. Playing instruments is a huge part of musicianship that hip-hop has ignored. Also in doing things faster you opened the doors for people who could careless about hip hop politics and the community to come in and use their instrumental talents because "producers" and "geniuses" failed to do so.

CAC's run that shyt ask Russel Simmons:aicmon:
