28 yo white female is trying out to be a kicker.

However, the long-shot nature of her bid isn't stopping the 28-year-old New Yorker from becoming the first woman in history to register for an NFL regional scouting combine, which features players who weren't invited to the main combine currently being held in Indianapolis. Silberman will compete alongside college kickers in New Jersey on March 2 and 3 for the right to advance to a Dallas super-regional combine in April.

Silberman doesn't have any recent football kicking duties on her résumé. She was a club soccer player at the University of Wisconsin...

Yeah. And where is going to take a shower after practices? :shaq:

Anyway, I didn't know they had non-invited open combines. Not that I would try out. I would get injured. And I have butterfingers.

this can only go bad, remember the chick who tried out at Colorado to be a kicker and the coach told her she was terrible so he got in trouble when she got emotional?

idk why women are trying to infiltrate mens sports like that will ever work, physically it just doesnt work..women got some type of attitude that they can compete, its laughable.

Great! Good for her, tearing down the walls!

Now, the real question: Who wants to go try out for a WNBA team, and get a nice paycheck for playing ball every year?

Because, clearly a society that lets women try out for the NFL would have no problem with men trying out for a WNBA spot? In fact, one could go so far as to say that if anyone DID have a problem with a man trying out for the WNBA, with the precedent being set by this kicker, well... someone could have quite a winnable lawsuit on their hands.

He also got in trouble because it was revealed that the team used drugs and alcohol to entice recruits and the chick claimed she was raped by A teammate and abused by others

so she claimed something so its true right? was he convicted of anything?

:shaq: i guess we're gonna be naive and act like all the top schools dont turn a blind eye to drug and alcohol use by players...but if thats how youre really gonna look at this good for you...dont be surprised and pointing fingers if this doesnt work out cus i know at least one person warned your:leostare:

im actually pretty sure the coaches defense was "she was terrible and couldnt handle that so now shes mad and taking out her revenge" (paraphrasing):russ:

i swear theres some kind of agenda theyre pushing on us here, why do women want to be in mens sports so bad? the atmosphere isnt built for women and women physically arent built to compete with men on that field:yeshrug:

Uh huh. Like dudes have passed out in combine from exhaustion. I don't know, maybe they don't put the kickers through the same wringer as offensive linesmen.
I don't even know how many dudes would walk into the shower where she is and be like, "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was the men's locker room. There's a sign on the door and all. Sorry..." and their ding dong would be just hanging out there. :upsetfavre:
