Fasting and 1 meal a day are unnecessary and not sustainable.

Avoid high calorie snacks. Find healthier options with lower carbs and fat. I lift weights so I need a lot of protein. I like chips and crave something salty so I buy Quest protein chips. That satisfies my craving while helping hit my macros and not add extra empty calories.

If you like cashews don't buy a big 12oz container. Get a box that has twelve 1oz packets and limit yourself to a only eating one.

Buy lean protein. No wings or any chicken with skin that add a lot of calories. 93/7 ground turkey or beef instead of 80/20...

Take carbs like rice off your plate and replace it with vegetables. I usually roast different colored veggies to get more flavor. Instead of just chicken with broccoli it's broccoli, carrots, and zucchini. The fiber will keep you feeling full longer.

Have a cheat day. Eat clean high protein/low carb meals Sunday-Friday and eat whatever you want on Saturday. That way you can satisfy your cravings without going overboard.

Go to the gym and start lifting. Jump on the stair master and treadmill.

Food scale and MyFitnessPal. No need to OD over an ounce here and there. So long as you track weight changes and performance in the gym, you can make adjustments.

How is it not sustainable if it works for some people. My 48 water fast on weekends has kept well with me

Cashews ain’t bad, not like you ate a whole row of Oreos. Just don’t eat for awhile after overeating. In the future, just take what you need and place in a bowl to eat from. Remember to put in work after meals, that food is supposed to be fuel for training.

Because like most fad diets it doesn't work for most people over a long period of time.

There's no need to go to extremes to lose weight. Reduce your caloric intake and work out. A lot of these fad diets aren't even based on science.

I hear you about fads like paleo, keto, even macro counting like 40/40/20. But fasting has easily became a way of life for me. My body not only adjusted to it but prefers it. Doing anything else will take strict and intentional efforts.

Macro counting ain't a fad bruh..... that forces you keep track of your ish. But as you said after. Intentional effort. But most folks won't even do the basics to get a baseline
