He sucks. No amount of weapons are going to help with the sacks and fumbles. Literally no QB in the history of the league started off as bad as Geno and turned out to be even serviceable. No amount of gifs are going to prove otherwise. He's got 29 starts and 50 turnovers.

There's only one excuse you have as to why you don't want to see this that makes SOME sense. Otherwise, I still don't get the refusal of picking this route to failure vs. the Fitz route to mediocrity.

Over the course of his career he's been about average in DVOA and DYAR. Last year was no different. If we want to argue we need better that's perfectly fine, but we currently don't have it on the roster.

Again, Idzik's issue besides the fact that he was a buffoon is that he sucked at making draft picks. Nobody was opposed to rebuilding so long as there as some development taking place. That didn't happen, yet you wanted to give Idzik more time. If Idzik looked like he was able to draft ok, he'd still be here. Don't act like this was about the results.

We wanted Geno to have a year of Marshall /Decker/Amaro /Devin Smith/ running game-- now with Forte just so we can come to a concrete conclusion. If he sucks, he sucks.

At this point, it's a matter of choosing how we're gonna fail next season, because regardless, it's gonna happen.

He essentially got fired for passing on Bridgewater and Carr.

THe entire fanbase went out of their way to voice their displeasure with Idzik. The clogged toilet offense you guys want to get back to is bad for business and Maccagnan probably knows that. He isn't signing guys like Forte and giving away picks to plug in Geno again or Petty. But that's just my opinion.

That's the whole point. We just want no more excuses, not because we're clutching Geno jerseys praying he makes it. It's in their best interest to do this rather than blow a bunch of day 2 picks on QB's who will never see the field.

See, y'all not seeing it from the right perspective. Fitz has all the leverage due to what the market value of a starting quarterback is. Jets fans love this guy, it would be a (PR) disaster if they didn't bring him back and started Geno Smith. I personally don't think he's that bad, but I'm not a Jets fan either. Denver wanted Kaep which I think most would agree is a better player and much younger.

Fitz doesn't. Market value dictates leverage and Fitz didn't warrant much. I don't think the front office cares much about the wants of the fans as did previous regimes. The Jets care about the future
