Great. Now let's see that in action. Only good can come of it. Either we suck bad enough to draft a QB high in round 1 OR we have a young QB to work with.

There's only one excuse you have as to why you don't want to see this that makes SOME sense. Otherwise, I still don't get the refusal of picking this route to failure vs. the Fitz route to mediocrity.
Fitz loses "the right way."

He essentially got fired for passing on Bridgewater and Carr.

THe entire fanbase went out of their way to voice their displeasure with Idzik. The clogged toilet offense you guys want to get back to is bad for business and Maccagnan probably knows that. He isn't signing guys like Forte and giving away picks to plug in Geno again or Petty. But that's just my opinion.
Let's not forget the Saunders joke. The first GM that season who released as a high a pick so early in the season

No. He got fired for botching draft picks and whiffing on offensive talent when we needed that more than anything. He got fired for not even trying to find young talent. He got fired for not hiring new scouts. He was incompetent. Why make excuses for him?

and NOBODY's trying to go back to a crappy offense. We'd like to see how Geno or whoever else with some damn promise would fare with this offense. If it results in the next franchise QB, how can it hurt besides you being unwilling to stomach a season of crappy football?

Why are you acting like it's my call? I have no control over this. You wanting to go back to Geno though makes no sense when we have 30 starts a bazillion turnovers and a bunch of other nonsense that we all know about with him. The likelihood of him being good is basically zero. There aren't any other players in the history of the league with similar starts to their careers that made it. Literally zero.

Im willing to stomach a season of bad football, I've see plenty. Wanting to go back to a well that's already poisoned is what doesnt make much sense. If Maccagnan wants to put himself on the clock with Hackenberg by all means go for it, but the chances of him being good are basically nil too.

Small chance that Geno, hack or petty develop>>>>the 0% chance Fitz gives you to make the playoffs
