Exactly......Which goes to show you how strong marketing is....I know dozens and dozens of cats who dropped 1500 hunnind on a mac book just to surf the web and stream movies.......

The Ipad is not in the same class as a surface pro 3....2 totally different devices that shouldn't be compared...

But its more of an indicator of advertising than quality .....because anyone with a slight inkling of technical capability will tell you that the galaxy tablet> than the ipad....

I devices have really good tech with sleek designs and intuitive GUIs, but they have rarely been the best product in their class....especially when you factor in price point,,,,,,,,,

I went through 3 ~$500 windows laptop (Toshiba, Asus & Acer) and went dead on me in the first year .. so i made the transition to the MBP in 09. Never looked back since. Best laptop i've ever used...best of both worlds cause i installed windows on it.

So what if you use the mac for surfing .. it's still a better experience than using any windows laptop.

I got the GOAT 11" MBA ..

Mac Books are overpriced and are actually inferior to every Windows laptop just based on the anemic software library when compared to their windows counterparts. The only real benefit of macs are the superior hardware components, but the surface is easily one of the highest quality PCs on the market today.

The surface pro 3 combines the superior build quality of surface computers with the sleekness of Windows 8. Using a Macbook is so 1999.

Cause around 40-50 percent of the PC market is businesses. Another 20 percent are el cheapos

Air still has a better keyboard, trackpad, and ports. As just a laptop it's a better device.

The Surface Pro handles Diablo III at 1920 x 1080 resolution with most specs except shadows maxed out. Popular MOBA League of Legends kicked out a smooth 30FPS (frames per second) at the same resolution with quality settings defaulted to High. How about the endlessly-playable, touch-enhanced version of Civilization V? Beautiful, stable, and a joy to experience on the Pro’s excellent display. Ditto for Portal 2,XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and StarCraft II.
