3 of course has the bigger, better screen. Feels better/lighter in the hand, the pen is MUCH more useful and responsive and the thing is quick as hell. The Surface 3 is the FIRST piece of hardware that makes Windows 8 an actual pleasure to utilize instead of a bloated headache. You really have to mess around with it and hold it for yourself breh

your choice of OS is just as poor as your choice of consoles.

:wtf:

I went through 3 ~$500 windows laptop (Toshiba, Asus & Acer) and went dead on me in the first year .. so i made the transition to the MBP in 09. Never looked back since. Best laptop i've ever used...best of both worlds cause i installed windows on it.

So what if you use the mac for surfing .. it's still a better experience than using any windows laptop.

I got the GOAT 11" MBA .. :blessed:

I stopped reading right there...You ethered yourself....And if they did go "dead" as you claim, that's a hardware issue and has nothing to do with M$

But it really sounds like :ducktales:

Comparing a 1500 dollar laptop to a 500 dollar one is ridiculous within itself

Air still has a better keyboard, trackpad, and ports. As just a laptop it's a better device.

Ok... You can still type 100 WPM on a Surface Pro 3. Trackpad you have touch. Ports yeah one more USB it doesn't make a huge difference when most mouses are bluetooth.

Those keyboards still don't compare to MacBooks as far as usability. Thunderbolt port is a nice addition for those who can take advantage of it, so versatile. And wireless usb mice>bluetooth, only companies that make good bt mice are HP and Apple.

Then it comes down to buying Microsoft Office if you need that for like $139, Antivirus is like $50, and of course that keyboard runs around $130. All that is available for free on OSX or not really needed.

But as a 2 in 1 the Surface is the best on the market right now besides the Lenovo Yoga series. But me personally I just prefer the precision of a cursor for actually getting things done, those type cover touch pads are awful. The Metro interface to me is clunky compared to Android and iOS. Plus the app ecosystem is trash right now. To me the Air is the better value and if not the Yoga would probably be better also.

- Usability like what man? I can type on a Surface Pro 3 just fine. What makes a MBA so much better?
- Have you ever seen a Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse shyt is fire
- Metro is hella nice with touch plus the new desktop update is going to be piff
- App ecosystem ain't trash you have web, software and apps for anything touch
- Air is NOT a better value you cant justify it bruh

You can type on it fine but it's not better than a real keyboard especially when on your lap plus it doesn't come with the thing. And I justified it's value in that post. With the Air you get everything you need from the jump, no extra accessories or software needed to work out the box. The only thing you're getting over on Surface is the tablet ability which is a good feature but to me when it comes to getting work done the traditional mouse and keyboard is still better. But if you're banking on replacing all your devices with one then the Yoga is probably the better value anyway.

I copped this Macbook Air because the Surface wasn't out yet. Now I'm torn since I can still take the MBA back and get my money. The SP3 tablet features would come in handy for notetaking in class too.

But this MBA is a legit piece of hardware. The keyboard and trackpad are awesome. After using it for a few days I'm having some minor issues acclimating to the Mac ecosystem. The MS Office differences alone are kinda annoying.

That said, I'm good with what I got but I'm gonna try out that SP3 tomorrow.

How is the tablet brehs? Is it functional? The tablet form of the Yoga 2 Pro was dumb and unusable. 13" is a tad big too.

I definitely agree with you about the keyboard, folks are sleeping on it. There is no comparison when it comes to typing on a laptop/tablet. I disagree with you about the Yoga. From what I saw, the SP3 was way better than the Yoga. Unless you like a clunky keyboard and a laptop that will burn your thighs.

Man I can't front the SP3 looks really tempting. You get the best of bothworlds, and MS pulls off both really well.

The yoga is a nice laptop but its way too big to replace a tablet

I'd still prefer an MBA with retina at this point, but its good to see ms stick with the surface and continue to innovate :salute: they're getting very close, but they need to keep working on windows 8 too. The macbook air has been the same shyt since it was released
