Steam saved the PC Gaming platform.

Games were being cracked even before release date and as a result companies literally put DRM THAT hurt the paying consumer. It took a monumental release like Half-Life 2 that FORCED us all to use steam was a genius move by Valve.

Want competition? Build out a competitor worthy to battle steam. Microsoft is finally trying and things should get interesting once Scorpio is out.

UPlay or whatever the fukk it is called SUCKS.

Origin is actually decent, but just doesn't have the library that steam has.

I would love to see competition of course, but origin has a way to go. Microsoft has the clout to say that their store comes installed on every copy of Windows. Library just needs to catch up.

It's still cracked even today.

Microsoft has shown the ability to build out an elaborate gaming network. They can do it over time on the PC if they keep at it.

fukk off with that Nintendo analogy...it is fukking terrible :comeon:

Microsoft will never be first in anything gaming related because they lack creativity. There's only one thing that will draw consumers in mass to their store. Kick ass exclusives.

Microsoft pretty much abandoned GFWL once they realized nobody on the PC was going to pay for P2P multiplayer and had already lost the consumer base to steam.

It was a complete and unfocused disaster. This is different. They are actually making an effort on the PC now.

You know the Nintendo name drop was dumb breh, just stop it lol. Microsoft has all the resources to get it done and I think they will be a good alternative to steam in 2 years.

They gonna need more then Halo, Gears, Forza breh. Those idiots could've had Destiny and Titan Fall as exclusive ms owned ip's. MS wouldn't know a good game if it bit them in the ass. They'll never be #1 because of this and they'll never make any worthwhile profit in gaming.

Those devs went to Ms first dumb ass. Also these nikkas been in the game since 2001. They ain't learned by now they never will. They don't like to take creative risk and this is a problem throughout the entire company. You can't solve a creative software problem with hardware, you just can't.

Bungie didn't go to Microsoft first with Destiny, they are under Activision, and have been since they branched off from Microsoft to become independing

And the first Titanfall was a console exclusive, EA owns the IP and made the decision to expand it to more platforms

:what:

My bullshyt meter is literally exploding.

Windows 10 store will never be a good alternative to Steam. Fingers in ear "lalala". The day that happens I'm changing my name on here to Liquid and will ban myself.
