I watched Jordan growing up. To me, he was otherworldly.

I imagine that's how the generation under me sees Kobe.

Stats, numbers, advanced metrics, etc. won't change Kobe's hardcore fanbase's ideology. It can't change what they saw as the greatest performances on a basketball court. Even if you show them Mike's highlights, it aint gonna change what they experienced.

MJ is the greatest player to step on a hardwood court.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

I'm a Kobe stan and I agree with this post 100%. We actually got to see Kobe's greatness. I wasn't old enough to appreciate Jordan.

The thing is, us Kobe fans have always admitted to Jordan being better tho :yeshrug:

Jordan is what you get if you give Kobe Lebron type athletic ability.

Kobe only really had 2 years of legacy building, unlike MJ and Bron who had the opportunity at young ages. In those two year he averaged 33ppg.
So Jordan and LeBron had more opportunity by being drafted to lottery teams as opposed to joining a 53 win team is what you're saying?

more opportunity in terms of having the Offense be focused on them, yes.

There was a quote from Doug Collins during the 2000 playoffs where he said, if you out Kobe on any other team in the League, he'd lead the League in scoring, Breh was only 20 years old at the time. That's what I mean. If you put any player on a team with Prime Shaq, while running the triangle, their stats would dip. Not saying MJ, or Bron wouldn't win rings with those Lakers, cause they obviously would have.

Jordan used 31.9 percent of the Chicago Bulls’ possessions while on the floor, while Bryant used 31.6 percent of the Lakers’ possessions when he was in the game. In other words, with essentially the same volume of the offense being directed through each player, Jordan was just a lot more efficient than Bryant at turning possessions into points.

Keep citing individual games instead of better careers tho.

No matter what you want to say about playoff series and 81 points, 81 points, 81 points....doesn't change the facts.

5 chips
2 MVPs
3 FMVPs
Better overall player because, you know, stuff besides scoring matters.

And also...this...

Kobe Bryant says he's jealous of Tim Duncan

Wanna know why people talk about him scoring 81 points...

 Because he literally scored 81 points, in a single game. We also talk about the time he out scored the western conference champs through three quarters. Do you understand these things?

:umad:We also love mentioning that time he destroyed Timmy in 2001 to the tune of 45 points and 10 rebounds.

:banderas:Or the 42 he put on the Spurs in 04.

:smugbiden: Can't forget about the 39 in Game 5 of the WCF in 08.

Would you like us to mention these ones more often?:win:
nobody remembers those other games in fact his most memorable game outside of 81 is his last game :mjlol:
