Young nikkas had zero control over what the radio and music video shows were playing.

I definitely saw that thief's theme video more times than I can count between BET and MTV Jams, that ski mask gif is classic and known for a reason, people of that era seen it.

And you act like people couldn't listen to both artists I had all the Wayne/Jeezy/Ti music too that doesn't mean I couldn't also know who Nas was, his music just wasn't for the car like the others were.

Y'all nikkas who act like people only listen to club/car music don't make a lick of sense, eventually you are gonna put headphones on or go inside your house and the type of music being played is gonna shift to some degree, more abstract or lyrical music will start popping up in the playlists. If not, you really shouldn't be tryna tell anyone what was going on cuz your POV is narrow as hell, tons of good music was being made that didn't mesh well with being played loudly outside
