correct me if im wrong, but the cop in the article said "$2 million". 2,000,000/35=$57,143 per key

now i know cops exaggerate drug totals all the time, but that number seems WAY off

So a suspected drug smuggler ran all the way through LAX without anyone stopping her? :jbhmm:

If we are taking those kilos at face value, (meaning mostly clean, fresh from import) they would be worth about 28,000 at wholesale in terms of single units, or up to 2, in the LA area. Add a grand or three, either way, dependent on variables. The value to someone who bought those himself, or put on his tab, way down the line, if we are assuming they were purchased at 35, and not part of a larger, multi ton load, either way the value in a border city, like Tijuana, a main conduit point to LA, along with Mexicali, would be about 22,000 or so. It's anywhere from 600,000 to a million dollar loss.

My guess would be that women had done this before, and this time just went bad. She's tough though, she reacted quickly, and at least gave herself the chance for freedom for a longer period of time. Thats either trade craft, instructions given to her, or she has strong instincts.

Flight attendants and pilots aka crew members have a special line they go through where they don't get checked by security, all they have to do is flash the badge.

So this lady was speaking a language that the TSA agents didn't understand (and considering this was LAX, it probably wasn't Spanish) and she was acting nervous so when they pulled her aside she high tailed it out of there.

Obviously this was her first time doing this, either in general or in moving that much product, either way, she's screwed.

my girlfriend is a flight attendant...they actually do get checked sometimes. it's rare, and random, but they will get randomly checked from time to time.

I saw a picture that is circulating in some reports, here:TSA seizes 70 pounds of cocaine after flight attendant flees

I don't know everything and every variable, but those look thin to be originals from a port of entry like Tijuana or Mexicali, which is where a large majority of the cocaine in LA comes from. However, just a one angle picture isn't enough to make an accurate judgement.

Also, there is a chance, more of a likelihood, that the image is not those seized today at LAX.
shyt was a setup from the gate.
