His appearances on "Mercy" and "Clique" inflated his "popularity" and had people thinking this album would be bigger. I don't think popularity and sales go hand in hand, but people bought into the hype that Sean built with those appearances. It seems that his fanbase hasn't grown even though he's more known now than he was then.

It wasn't a good sign when a song that wasn't on the album created more hype than any song that's on the album. To make it worse, the hype was surrounding Kendrick and not Sean.

in retrospect though, Sean's album should have dropped when the iron was hot, not his fault did you catch @nikkaz In Paris pass the mustard thread? ...

big step back from his last album and moreso the Detroit mixtape. I know that's supposed to be a street joint, but he had songs on there I thought coulda/woulda worked commercially. better than this. this album was choc'd fulla forced.
