The problem with big sean is that he has no personality. Dude is unlikeable. If it weren't for his mixtape stuff, I'd probably wouldn't fukk with him. He needs some authenticity or something to make him interesting. The era of the misogynistic hedonist bragatocious rapper getting by on swag is over. If you're a newer n*gga, you can't rap about bullshyt all the time which big sean does quite a lot. He's trying way too hard to follow some sort of popular rapper blueprint.
good point. i think he tried to get off of that "swag type shyt" on this record though. whether you liked how he rapped about more personal topics or not, he wasnt on that swag shyt for a majority of the album. beware and ashley as singles will probably help him shed that label

nikkas really think Def Jam is going to drop a hit maker like Sean :pachaha: Even tho Sean took a L with the first week sales long term he's going to be good. Mac Miller did 100k first week and is sitting around 160. Tyler is around 120k. Meek did 160k and tapped out early around 350k. Wale just did 160k and just went over 300k just a week ago. Sean will be good as long as the hits keep coming. Wait until "Ashley" drops  ........that's going to probably be his biggest hit to date.

Real talk tho Sean and Def Jam fukked up with the rollout of the singles imo. "Beware" should of been released around April so that the record could of have had time to connect. Song was released too late (June 25th) imo. It's all about timing at the end of the day.

I hope ur on his payroll the way u r steady trying to polish this turd.

Well he basically matched the sales of his previous album 2 years ago. He came in at #3 again on the B-200 and #1 and the RnB/Rap Charts. So that's 2 Top 3 debut albums. Are the sales weak? Yes, honestly Sean should of came in at #1 with over 200k. The problem is simple guys. "Hall of Fame" had ZERO hit songs. There was no "My last" or "A$$" or "Marvin/Chardonnay". Also the song with the biggest buzz on the album "Control" didn't even make the album.

They should of redone/replayed the sample. To add insult to injury, Kendrick completely stole the whole buzz of the album. I also blame KanYe as he wasn't featured or didn't produce a single track and this is suppose to be his protegee. Honestly this proves once and forall that Drake and Cole are the leaders of the new school commercially. I mean "Born Sinner" may have tapped out (Mostly cause Cole isn't following through with singles) but it still did over 300k. Sean has the backing of the big stars but he can't carry his singles or albums as they are heavily featured. I like Sean as an artist but I can understand why people haven't grabbed onto him fully. Until he starts holding it down more himself his sales will continue to be average.

big sean is 25....if he never had personality before he can't just magically get some at 25.

No he is trash with no talent.

If he had little talent he would have at least cracked 100K.
he is done, the labels now know he has no fans

Basically what I was saying for the longest time. We are in a new era now where good music and quality bars triumph over everything else. All that "swag" rap is slowly, but surely, getting played out.

You do know "Beware" is a hit record right? It's 38 on Billboard right now. My Last charted at 30. MCG charted at 32. Beware might actually chart higher than those 2 songs. The truth of the matter is that Sean went away from making those big anthem records this time around. Outside of Sean's first week sales I don't know what y'all want from his music. Sean did everything that the critics said he didn't do on his first album.
