His sales are bad. There's no denying it. Good Music didn't really have a great 12 months with Cudi leaving and Ye underperforming as well as the Good Music Compliation is still not Gold after a damn year. But when you put into context of Hip Hop Sales. Sean did better than 2 Chainz 2nd album. And as of right now he still has a Top 10 sales debut in Hip Hop This Year. But there's no denying the sales aren't just dropping they are free falling:

I'm trying to understand how Asap, Mac Miller and Tyler sold more than Sean who is definitely suppose to be more popular than them at this point. It's clear they dropped the ball on promotion of this album and leaking "Control" was by far the worst idea ever. It gave the album no buzz cause all the talk and buzz went right to Kendrick.

It's a thing called a fanbase breh, Sean doesn't have legitimate fans, he has people who like his singles. If the album has no singles, the album doesn't sell. :yeshrug:

As of November 4, 2012, Cruel Summer has sold 389,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

That was 10 months ago. Probably certified Gold but I don't know. Don't get it twisted. "Mercy" and "Clique" were both huge singles but there was no video for "Clique" so that definitely hurt the sales and it seemed they just stopped the promotion and KanYe obviously went onto recording "Yeezus".

Yeah but that's the 1st step. People have to like your singles. Also this album sales are proof that the singles from this album aren't hitting as well. "My Last" was huge in the urban market. "A$$" was massive and "Marvin and C" was big. He had all those hits and the album still didn't Go Gold. So why would "Hall of Fame" do better when these singles aren't hitting the same? Throw in "Mercy" and "Clique" and Sean does have a lot of hit single appearances. But I agree with people, all those songs were anchored by more popular artist.
