Florida Folks: Why hasn't UCF Athletics made it big?

yea, FSU has the crown when it comes to hoes, there's not even a close 2nd really... but UCF isn't bad at all, I ran through PAWGs my 4 years there. Thought UF was gonna be more of the same when I went there, but the girls weren't of the same caliber and they weren't nearly as cool.

The only way ucf will come up is by joining a different conference, or making a coaching hire that can make them tcu status before joining the big 12 or having a coach bring them up boise state wise. Plus like many said, they dont have the history, that stadium they have is fairly new, and I saw they've only been d-1 since 96.

I went to FSU and UF and I must say aint nothing like the hoes at FSU/FAMU... Union Wednesdays at FSU, Set fridays at FAMU coupled with being a Sigma man Hoes in GVille aint really bout that life like they are in Tally

I don't know, just what I heard Not trying to challenge you or anything, all my advisors in high school told me not to go

Also what hurts UCF outside of the commuter problem is there is no school spirit. You will see more FSU, Miami and UF shirts on campus. Most of the kids are from down south, Miami area so they rep hard. Also compared to UF and FSU, UCF is in a huge city.

You have UCF bars, then you have Downtown Orlando. The UCF bars are run by the sororities and fraternities. If you not in one you not going to eat. You will be able to eat off the Valencia hoes though . It really is a weird school. It's still growing. They just opened a MED school and construction is happening all around the area. They should be able to land talent in the later half of the decade but the area has to support it. In reality they should be further along then where they are.

I know this from experience, that if you don't go to a black school, no advisor is going to steer you towards a hbcu. There is definitely a negative stigma associated with them and some is warranted. I went to one for a year and a half, and transferred. Mainly because of the degree I wanted and also because my school was unorganized as hell.
