Florida escaped a near-disaster against East Carolina in The Swamp on Saturday night thanks to a big defensive play at the very end to force a fumble as the Pirates were driving for a possible game-tying score.
The Gators were able to force a sack fumble on an all-out blitz. When linebacker Alex McCalister picked up the loose ball and started running to the end zone, teammate Jarrad Davis grabbed him and took him to the ground, so Florida could run out the clock.

The tackle is pretty hilarious, but also the smart play and how coaches teach these situations. Get down.
Letting the clock run out is the right way to go with just 16 seconds to play, but having to physically tackle a teammate to get that point across is really funny. It wasn't even a gentle tackle as he spun him around and threw him down.
