Last I checked the Catholic Church had some issues with minors. But they're not talking banning them :sas2:

But we ain't gonna say nothing about that
This shyt is gonna backfire on Meatball. You think Hyatt isn't gonna sue the state of Florida to Bolivia for revoking their license w/o cause?

I'm still waiting for Disney to sue for violating their 1st amendment rights. Maybe they are holding off because his tantrums and law didn't really change anything

Rhonda Santis? :ohhh:

How is it that literally everyone is coming up with better nicknames for Desantis than Trump? :why:

This is yet another reason why I think Desantis is getting washed in a primary.

Trump is an idiot, but he at least knows it's politically smart to go, "I will not touch Social Security and Medicare," and has been saying for months Republicans shouldn't do it.

What will rural voters, who are an increasingly important part of the Republican base, care about more? Trump not touching their Social Security and Medicare or Desantis screaming about 'woke' shyt they'll probably never even come into contact with?

I actually hate DeSantis more then Trump now

I said it earlier but if trump ran a legitimately populist campaign, he would be a serious problem for DeSantis or Biden. Meaning going decidedly left on economic issues - strongly supporting unions, increased taxes (income/Medicare/capital gains taxes) on wealthy, health care reforms (esp drug prices), increasing regulations on Wall Street, strong anti monopoly policies etc.

He wouldn’t even have to moderate on other issues like immigration, crime, education and other “cultural” issues like abortion.

He would upend the election more than Perot and probably would have a good chance of winning a plurality assuming he still has a chance of getting on the ballot in most states.

Breh it’s the trump delivery that makes the nicknames :russ:

About the Medicare/social security, Dems have been placing their hopes on that issue delivering victories for an entire generation but it’s very hit/miss. It’s probably the reason Dems we’re able to win Florida in the past, but honestly every GOP candidate in modern history has been on the “wrong” side of that issue. One thing is that the gop candidates always frame the issue as “this won’t affect current retirees” so a lot of older people don’t give a fukk bc they’re going to be dead anyways lol. Typical boomer behavior smh. Another thing is that the Dems aren’t good at demagoguery. When someone comes up with a tough but fundamentally fair/true attack, there’s always a group of Dems who will undermine it based on “setting the right tone.”

The populist campaign worked for Trump when he did it the first time around and had no track record...

Much harder for him to run on those things when when we saw him in the office and he literally did the opposite of those things -- he cut taxes, cut on banking regulations, cut worker rights, signed EO to hurt unions, and repealed (or tried to) Obamacare.

There are few things the American public loves to do more than give white guys chances at redemption.

Bush wrecked this country’s finances for the next 50 years, set the stage for trump, sentenced tens of thousands of veterans to a lifetime of ptsd, killed a million Iraqis for no reason…and all it took for him to be redeemed is bad art.

Nah. Liberals hate Trump and running economic left doesn’t appeal to capitalist liberals. The only voter that running economically to the left would appeal to are those who would be wise enough to know Trump is full of shyt
