Florida Governor Issues Executive Order Prohibiting COVID-19 Vaccine Passports


"Governor Ron DeSantis issued an executive order Friday forbidding local governments and businesses from requiring proof of a COVID-19 vaccine," reports WTXL-TV. In addition to local businesses and governments, this move is certain to rub the restarting cruise ship businesses the wrong way. Let the lawsuits begin!The executive order reads, in part:
"No Florida government entity, or its subdivisions, agents, or assigns, shall be permitted to issue vaccine passports, vaccine passes, or other standardized documentation for the purpose of certifying an individual's COVID-19 vaccination status to a third party, or otherwise publish or share any individual's COVID-19 vaccination record or similar health information."

how do vaccine passports differ from the regular vaccine requirements that people have to do for travel and school? I don't fully understand the strong arguments for or against them and i fear people are running to the barricades to create an unnecessary front in the culture war

Most people in this country don't travel, that's a luxury for folks so the concept of vaccine for domestic traveling is alien to them. Also the government fukked this situation up so bad that a lot of people naturally are abrasive to anything commanded of them like this like this was a man made virus at the end of the day, can't really blame people for being like fukk that when we all know it's virus being created for useless reasons. End up getting a vaccine and then this happens again in another 10-20 years is what a lot of people got in the back of their heads. If our government actually served the people then most folks wouldn't mind do anything asked of them.

Are we gonna start naming all the vaccine records "vaccine passport"?

I think airlines and modes of transportation make sense (not that I support the governor) but businesses?

They don’t differ at all. We’re seeing people who have never traveled, or people who are simply stupid, expose themselves. The passports wouldn’t be used in state, it’s in order to travel outside the country. DeSantis knows this but like someone said...all that matters is the headline.

possession and consumption of weed has led to an incalculable loss of civil liberties by the state.

death, imprisonment, civil asset forfeiture, legal scarlet letter(arrests & convictions on background checks), parents losing custody of their children and etc.
