They don’t differ at all. We’re seeing people who have never traveled, or people who are simply stupid, expose themselves. The passports wouldn’t be used in state, it’s in order to travel outside the country. DeSantis knows this but like someone said...all that matters is the headline.

Exactly. This is pretty much akin to barring social media in his state but this time with an international twist instead of an intercommerce one.

Those cruise lines won't be able to dock in other countries without some sort of verification that the passengers won't be kick-starting another epidemic on their land.

possession and consumption of weed has led to an incalculable loss of civil liberties by the state.

death, imprisonment, civil asset forfeiture, legal scarlet letter(arrests & convictions on background checks), parents losing custody of their children and etc.

Tell me how many people you know that lost custody of their kids cause they smoke weed. And newsflash everybody isn’t involved with weed. But we all involved in civil liberties.

When you travel to other countries they want to know some basic information about you...including vaccinations. Vaccines are not protected medical information, HIPAA does not prevent any of this, etc. It's public knowledge, which is why many states have vaccine databases.

You can't get many jobs without getting a TB test or flu shot. We're in a pandemic, surely knowing whether you are vaccinated or not is important information relating to the re-opening of economies and public venues. And I know for a fact that in a few years, the covid shot will be required for many jobs. Again...a good thing.

Blind faith about what? The vaccine is safe and effective, everyone should get it. It's the best way to control the pandemic. Or do you have another idea?

In terms of the social implications...eh? Again, why shouldn't a open venue require vaccine confirmation? If the goal is to open safely and not create a scenario where live events like concerts become super spreader events, wouldn't requiring the vaccine at entry make sense? I don't think most venues will require this, mind you. Certainly not in Florida or Texas. But states with common sense? Of course they will require it.

How are they being discriminated against? You don't have a right to put other people in danger during a global pandemic. Hell, you don't have a right to put your fellow coworkers in danger of getting sick by not taking a TB test or receiving the flu shot, at many jobs. the only kind of job i ever heard of that’s checking your vaccinations for flu shots and chit like that is in the medical field. I could be wrong though.
