Where do you people get your "facts" from?

Exactly

This narrative that Haitians support Republicans is news to me. I lived in Dade long enough to go through 2 major elections and never not once did I see Haitian people just out-right vote Republican.

Not saying they wouldn’t…thats just a very specific thing to say. Haitians may be Haitians, but in Dade they're pretty intertwined with the black population and usually aren’t the most privileged population in Florida. Voting for Republicans is usually something whites and the wealthy do in Florida because it protects their interest.

So unless Florida has drastically changed since I was there or since these 2020 stats, then homeboy is pulling that shyt out of his ass.

The rich, white-identified and/or bigot populations in Florida is who keeps someone like Desantis in office. Yall saw how they even treated black football players out there… you think Haitians get treated any better in a day-to-day?

Feels like there was a time when intentionally endangering or depriving your constituents of critical services would end your political career.

My mom told me that when she was growing up, a Chicago mayoral incumbent lost a primary because the administration had no proper disaster plan after several major snowstorms. We need to get back to that. If politicians aren't serving the people, they need to get removed.

Only an a$$hole refuses help on the federal level on the biggest hurricane EVER. Play politics over a humanitarian crisis, GOP crehs.

There is NO HELP a VP can do...there is only authorization from the President....so she is grandstanding.....

You can hate all you want on Desantis....his record on hurricane responses has always been point

This stuff is going to hurt Republicans.
Logically yes but unfortunately it won't. There are voters who see defiance against dems as putting up a fight even if it goes against their interest. :manny: Just recently we saw TX power grid fail during from cold weather. The republican response was terrible but they told voters they didn't have to wear a mask and gov abbot got re-elected. Ted Cruz who decided to go on vacation during the ordeal also got re-elected.

I disagree, I'm talking about the fight for those independents on a narrow margin. Obviously it won't matter in those circumstances although even Cruz is vulnerable to a possible loss in November.
