So wait a minute HL .................. this is very much related to the black lady that fired a warning shot in her house and got over a decade for her warning shot inside a house from her abusive boyfriend?/ex-husband?

I'm pretty sure the majority of the sub-forum was texting Bugs to come out when this happened, as it contradicted the whole Zimmerman

However, it seems that you all are in quandry a [as am I] about this law that would prevent someone from having to go through what that lady went through.

However, I understand the sentiment....that bullet you send in the sky can go anywhere and if you are in a building where are your going to fire it at??

So what's you angle HL?? Protect people from going to jail for firing a warning shot? or let people fire the warning shot to protect their feelings of being in peril(yet potentially hurt someone)?

warning shots are dumb. what happens if people interpret your warning shots as a missed shot and decide to shoot you? who is in the wrong in a stand your ground situation after your warning shot? anybody with any sense knows you dont even whip out a gun unless you are prepared to kill somebody

the lady that fired that shot should have taken her ass away from that house. she went back in the house and shot, she is guilty of trying to intimidate her husband with a gun but should have been given a much lighter sentence.

the response to the overly harsh punishment of marissa is not to legally condone warning shots, it is to lower or remove mandatory sentencing for gun crimes not involving murder or attempted murder.
