No wonder they never play his shyt when I request for it out here in Florida :damn:
that's not the reason. Requesting music from a dj is a no no... :mjlol:

a venue supposed to have this license to be a nightclub that plays music

there's even legalities about playing radio music in a store.

most businesses never have to get audited for it.

if that venue didn't have an ascap licence then they owe anyone that can prove they were played there for publishing. not just Boosie

if you have any type of money business deals alway do the due diligence.

I learned about this as a teen working in a clothing store. we couldn't play whatever music we wanted due to not paying for license. the store would get promo music on a cd to rotate that was paid for and that was all we could play

yeah ive played a few places that didnt want to pay for an ascap license. they were so paranoid, you couldnt even perform a cover song!

I wonder how many businesses have been getting away with it

Many small businesses do but the bigger the business the less likely they take chances. this shyt is streamlined into their operation. i believe they used to send out people to business districts to just walk into businesses listen for music and run the name thru database to see if they had license then send warning letters for infractions back in the day
