Not sure why you're saying the team is hated on in this system. If all things are equal, the team with the weakest schedule should be the one left out, no? In 2 whole seasons, OSU hasn't played a team ranked higher than #15. Actually, based off the final polls, it was Michigan at #24.
When comparing the resumes of all the undefeated teams, this has to come into play. You are aware there will be a playoff next year, right?
