I’ve never done it/been comfortable doing it…I more so see female teachers follow/have students follow them on IG/twitter in order to be more “accessible” to their students…in case they’re missing an assignment, need help with an assignment, etc.

I believe you but it’s still odd how teachers these days want to be so connected to children/“accessible”-I can see if the school issued accounts but wtf, it’s wholly unnecessary. This exchange digital and otherwise could have been avoided entirely, obviously the teacher is in the wrong.

I agree…zero argument here…if students wanted to get in touch with me, they had to see me before, during and/or after class…that’s it

I forgot we also had email addresses associated with the school…they could contact me that way too but I only responded to emails sent during appropriate hours
