I believe you but it’s still odd how teachers these days want to be so connected to children/“accessible”-I can see if the school issued accounts but wtf, it’s wholly unnecessary. This exchange digital and otherwise could have been avoided entirely, obviously the teacher is in the wrong.I’ve never done it/been comfortable doing it…I more so see female teachers follow/have students follow them on IG/twitter in order to be more “accessible” to their students…in case they’re missing an assignment, need help with an assignment, etc.

I agree…zero argument here…if students wanted to get in touch with me, they had to see me before, during and/or after class…that’s it

I forgot we also had email addresses associated with the school…they could contact me that way too but I only responded to emails sent during appropriate hours
