I have never seen so much greed, malicious intent, and anger on a holiday that is originally supposed to be celebration of our lord and savior (Atheist brehs, fall back). I hate reading articles like this, because it makes you ill that folks would rather kill and fight over material, than love and appreciate the little things. I had to yank my son by the collar one Christmas because his spoiled ass was acting an entire donkey about gifts. I mean, the dude had everything that year and even more.

The fact Jesus name is attached to this sick capitalist cult holiday really does not sit well with my spirit.

I just noticed this. Driving around the city this holiday season, homeowners went crazy with the lights and decorations, but I saw not one nativity scene. It was so odd to me.

It's infuriating that people have adopted this idea that continuing to do the same shyt that changed absolutely nothing is going to continue to change things for the better. This shyt doesn't work, but I guess whatever it takes to get more black men behind bars or murdered by cops.

Why is changing the material conditions for people, educating them, and even rehabilitating them after they've committed a crime never considered a viable option? O that's right propaganda we've been force fed since we were kids. The only people who benefit from more cops and more people in prison are rich people and racists. It never works out for the people y'all claim to want it work out for

Because giving people money isn’t going to change their values, and teach them proper conflict resolution. It is not the government’s job to raise your children. Parents instill values so the children don’t think killing someone over material things is an acceptable action. The black community tends to use violence far too often over petty things like someone talking shyt about you. There was a thread on here years ago about a group of teen girls bullying another girl, and posters were saying she’d have to beat the bully’s ass. No non violent conflict resolution, just violence.

There are wealthy white people who murder their parents. Money isn’t going to turn you into an ethical person. How often do Section 8 residents tear up the property? You value things more when you work, and earn them. Let’s say the government fixed up the area. Will that stop the residents from throwing trash on the ground? How often do middle class black homeowners throw trash on the street? They don’t. Money isn’t going to make you want to get good grades.

Now I do believe there needs to be more government funded mental and behavioral health resources, but you have to take the initiative to get the help. Nobody is going to knock on your door, and help you. This brings me to another point. There are tons of resources to help poor people, but a lot of poor black people aren’t taking them. Even if you’re on unemployment, there is free job training. My mom became a CNA when she lost her job when I was younger. She trained for free through unemployment. We had our house repaired for free through the RCA program in the city. Most high schools have free vocational training. My high school had a program where kids can go to school half the day, and get the rest of the day off to go to work. They just had to have their employer verify their work schedule. They weren’t even working everyday. If you lost your job, the school would help you find another. There are tons of online courses to learn skills, a lot are free or cheap. Help is out there. You have to go get it.

He def shouldn't. But black people aren't allowed to defend ourselves or our families. They've let white people shoot strangers because that stranger was a threat to another complete stranger and get no charges. Yet you can be black, someone can be shooting your sister and you aren't allowed to defend her life or yours.

It's fukking ridiculous.

It depends. If you have a decent attorney, and not a public defender, the chances are higher you can get away with it. It also depends on if you have priors.
