Floyd wouldn't let PAC get off like all those other fighters. Plus PAC defense is no where near up to par with his offense and Floyd has that laser right. I would say a PAC vs Floyd would end very similar to a Ricky hatton vs Floyd or Marquez vs PAC. Marquez whether he was or wasn't juiced is the second best counter puncher around that weight class. Y'all can guess the first one. Of COURSE PAC would have tried to rush may because everyone says may gets on his bicycle. And may woulda caught his ass. He isn't the same fighter as he was with zab. Dude has gotten way too smart overtime.

I always felt Mayweather-Pacman would look more like Leonard-Duran 1. :yeshrug:

No one wants to see that fight in 2013.... maybe years ago.... manny still

:deadmanny: to most folks...

:myman:

The people you are talking about are knowledge able fans, casuals don't know nor care, all they have been told is Manny v Floyd is the ONLY fight they should care about. Do I think the fight should happen, no, will it make money if it did, yes it will.

this is boxing breh...not wrestling...you never know who the boogiemen are for these fighters
It would end up even more lobsided than that late Roy/Trinidad fight...come on. Manny Pac was hyped up big but he was never Mayweather level. He was always gonna get outclassed for 9/12 rounds at least. Don't matter if it happens this year. Last year. Two years ago. Manny had a good run but Mayweather is just an ALL TIME great fighter than you have to think really hard historically if anyone can get him in a 12 round fight at this weight class in his prime. It's just not realistic.

She was down with scrappy back when he was just a dusty nikka wit a dream. But still if I was Floyd, I just couldn't imagine myself wifing Lil Scrappy's ex. He must not have seen the struggleroni and breadloaf.

Why be with his ex when there are SO MANY 10s out there who are just as money hungry and exotic? 10s that the media or the fanbase wouldn't have a fukking clue about if their lives depended on it. Odd.

:laff: at ppl thinking Floyd-Canelo is a bigger fight than Floyd-Pac now....most ppl who don't follow the sport as well as most casuals couldn't even tell you anything about the last person Canelo fought nevermind name a favorite fight of Canelo's they watched....regardless of Pac getting ko'ed in his last fight he's still one of only 3 active fighters currently that can draw on PPV regardless of his opponent (the other 2 being Floyd and Miguel Cotto)

I'd pay for Floyd-Pacquiao all by myself to watch at my spot without giving a single thought about who's on the undercard..Floyd-Canelo is stream status until they mention the undercard and hope its fire enough for me to go put in with somebody to watch

So being that Floyd is Marquez times 10, why do you think it would be such a great fight? :wtf:

:ohhh: with the volume puncher winning. But unlike Leonard mayweather to me would have found a way to stop PAC from landing cleanly. Thus making his "activity" look sloppy. I'd say it would go 8rds to may and the early 4 to PAC. The dudes defense adjustments on the fly is too great breh. No Stan in me I just truly believe it.

I've been watching boxing ALOT longer than you and everyone in this place..got VHS tapes of Tyson knocking out Spinks after all that hype when I was a kid..definitely been watching Mayweather for years. A reaction post instead of proving the opposite kind of displays that though.

:stopitslime: Trinidad moved up from 135 to 175 to fight Roy Jones. In his prime he was best at 147. The Roy/Trinidad fight is like saying Mayweather can move up to 168 and beat Andre Ward.

Obviously Mayweather was scared because there was NO REASON for not fighting Pacman. If you aint scared of somebody and the PEOPLE want to see the fight.. Why would you fight someone else for less money? Even his uncle know Floyd was scared.. "Take the test" That just means you think this guy is strong as hell, fast as hell, and you scared as hell.

That doesn't prove you watch boxing either lol. Manny pacquiao's career is ATG just like Floyd not a "good run"....Manny won titles from flyweight to light middle and was lineal in 4 of those divisions...do you know how rare that is? That alone assured his place as an ATG without getting into his opponents. In contrast for Floyd to match that he would have to win titles at 160, 168, and 175. But career wise they are on the same level.

Also there was nothing late about roy-trinidad....there were never on the course to fight each other in their primes

They were gonna fight in 2001 if Trinidad beat Hopkins...that's what everyone was waiting for.

I don't understand how ppl don't get that Pac's workrate would decrease SIGNIFICANTLY against Floyd. Getting popped in the face with that right repeatedly will make any fighter gun-shy. Everybody talks about the Zab fight like Floyd really struggled, he had Zab figured out in 2 rounds and Zab won 3 rounds TOPS.

And can we get something clear about the Mosley fight, the first right hand was hard but Floyd wasn't that hurt by it. It was the 2nd right hand to the temple that actually did the damage. He was on queer street from that 1, but within 30 seconds he was back and in control of the rest of the round.

I disagree. I think it would have been an exciting fight, with Pac trying to push the action and Mayweather trying to counter. I think Pacquioa's angles, footwork, offense, speed, and power would match up well to Mayweathers intelligence, speed, ring generalship, defense, and counterpunching. I do feel that eventually Mayweather would get punched tho and as the southpaw left would catch him and that would be a wrap. But honestly even tho I feel Pac would have won, I wouldnt have been surprised at a Mayweather win. One thing fans of both dont realize is each guy has the tools to beat the other. The winner would boil down to who could impose their will and gameplan on the other. As this is wholly hypothetical, we'll just have to agree to disagree, respectfully.
Pacquaio does not have the tools to bear mayweather
He has a puncher's chance at best
To have a chance to beat mayweather, a fighter has to

-have a strong jab
-trying to win da round as opposed to trying to knock him out
-slick, patience pure boxer

Theres really no one out there in boxing right now who has that combination of skill. Pacquaio is one dimensional and sucks at making adjustments. His fights with a boxer like marquez is proof of that.Floyd is the adjustment king. Floyd would figure him out in like 3 rounds and it would be a wrap

I laugh when his opponents say " im gonna pressure him" and "im gonna throw a lot of punches and try to go toe to toe"
That's what he wants you to do dummy:wtf:
